NOTICE: The 2017 ICML conference may close registration ahead of the declared deadline in case it reaches the capacity limits of the convention center. There may be no onsite registration. Please register early. Registration opens on May 2, 2017.

VISA Applications for Austraila

With a paid registration to ICML, you will have access to a Letter of Invitation, which is helpful for your VISA application. ICML will update your Letter of Invitation to note your accepted papers and other participation in the meeting when that information becomes available.  Doing this depends on the release of paper decisions at CMT and whether you registered with the same email address at both CMT and ICML.cc.

We recommend that you register for the meeting and apply for your VISA application as early as possile.  You may cancel and refund your registration for any reason until Fri Jul 21, 2017 23:59 PM UTC.

Under Australia's universal visa system, all visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia (other than New Zealand passport holders who will normally be granted a Special Category visa on arrival, provided they meet health and character requirements; and permanent residents of Norfolk Island who may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival). For more information, see the fact sheet: http://www.border.gov.au/about/corporate/information/fact-sheets/17nz

There are many visa options available to people wishing to visit Australia. The appropriate visa option will depend, amongst other things, on the person's purpose for visiting Australia.

Please refer to the attached Business Information Sheet for guidance on the visa options that may be most suitable for your event participants.

Your event participants should also refer to the attached document containing General Information for Visa Applicants.

NB: These are the visa options available presently but the Department reserves the right to change regulations. IECN assistance will NOT guarantee a visa grant. Visa applicants must demonstrate that they meet all the legislative requirements for an Australian visa.
